Woman in critical condition after Fort Lauderdale hit-and-run

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – A woman was hospitalized in critical condition following a hit-and-run collision in Fort Lauderdale on Friday, local news reports. 

The crash occurred on the 600 block of West Broward Boulevard around 1:30 a.m. Friday.

The cause of the crash is not clear at this time. Pictures from the scene show two sedans, one red and one blue, both badly mangled. The victim sustained critical injuries and had to be rescued from her vehicle. No update on her condition is currently available.

Police are searching for the other driver, who fled the scene on foot.
