Woman found dead in submerged car in Boca Raton canal 

BOCA RATON, FL – Palm Beach County Fire Rescue declared a woman dead when she was found in a submerged car in a canal near Sandalfoot Cove Park Friday. 

The car, a 2018 Volkswagen, was found upside down just before 12:45 p.m. in the 9200th block of SW Third Street, according to WPTV. 

Rescue drivers were able to remove the woman from the vehicle. 

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office suspects that suicide may have played a role in this wreck but has not been able to verify this detail. Deputies did, however, confirm that the woman was 58 years old but did not disclose her name.
