Woman dead after left turn crash with pole in West Palm Beach

WEST PALM BEACH, FL – A left turn crash at the North Military Trail & Belvedere Road junction led a 29-year-old woman to crash into a pole and suffer fatal injuries Sunday.

CBS 12 said the crash happened before 1:45 a.m. when a driver of a 2018 Infiniti traveled north on Belvedere Road at a high rate and hit the passenger side of a Hyundai Sonata, as the Sonta driver was attempting to turn left.

The Sonata driver – 29-year-old Sophie Prudhomme –  then collided with a concrete power pole.

The Infiniti driver also collided with a Toyota Corolla.

Officials said the Infinity driver and his passenger were hospitalized for unspecified injuries. Prudhomme was also taken to a hospital and later died.
