Woman, 55, dies after hit-and-run crash on Belvedere Road

WEST PALM BEACH, FL – A 55-year-old woman was walking with her 52-year-old stepbrother when she was fatally struck by a hit-and-run driver on Belvedere Road Sunday. 

CBS 12 said the step siblings were walking from the Wawa gas station to the IHOP restaurant when the driver struck Penelope Lynn Kenyon before 3 a.m. 

The 52-year-old man was unharmed, while Kenyon was transported to St. Mary’s Medical Center in critical condition, where she later died in surgery after 5:30 a.m. 

Officials described the suspect’s vehicle as a black Cadillac ATS or CT4 with a missing passenger side rear view mirror and damage to the front right side. 

West Palm Beach Police are investigating this fatal wreck, and advise the public to contact them should they know more information about what occurred, what the suspect looked like, or if they see a vehicle that matches the description.
