Vehicle crashes into scooter, leaves two dead

WEST PALM BEACH, FL – Two people were killed on New Year’s Day when a scooter they were riding was struck by a vehicle in West Palm Beach, CBS 12 reports. 

The victims, a 56-year-old man and a 65-year-old woman, were sharing a scooter and travelling south on Military Trail. They were struck from behind by a vehicle driven by a 79-year-old woman.

Both victims were taken to St. Mary’s Medical Center, where they later died.

Further details about the crash have not been released at this time.
