Update: Red light runner causes injury crash in Port St. Lucie 

PORT ST. LUCIE, FL – One driver ran a red light, which led to a three-vehicle crash west of Turtle Run Park that injured three people on Monday, new details from WPTV confirm. 

The collision occurred around 11 a.m. at SW Del Rio Boulevard and SW California Boulevard. Police, EMS crews, and medical helicopter personnel responded to the scene. 

One passenger was airlifted to Lawnwood Regional Medical Center and was issued a trauma alert. Their condition progressed from serious to stable. 

The two other injured individuals were taken via an ambulance to another nearby hospital. 

Authorities had to shut down the intersection to accommodate the scene clearance and investigation period. 

Police did not mention any citations or pending criminal charges against the red-light runner driver. 

An investigation is underway.
