Three dead in five-vehicle Fort Lauderdale crash on I-595

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – Three people died in a five-car crash on I-595 near U.S. 1 on Nov. 3, police say.

According to 7 News Miami, a Broward Sheriff’s Office deputy was injured in the crash and taken to a local hospital for treatment. They are expected to be okay.

The accident happened just before 10 p.m. in the westbound lanes of I-595. The identities of the deceased have not been released.

Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
