Third victim dies from December hit-and-run in Wilton Manors

WILTON MANORS, FL – A third victim succumbed to their injuries following a December 27th hit-and-run in Wilton Manors, NBC Miami reports.

The accident occurred on the 2400 block of Powerline Road. The 28-year-old suspect was driving a Honda Accord and attempting to speed around a bus when he struck six children on the sidewalk. 

Two of the victims, a 6-year-old and a 5-year-old, died at the scene. A 10-year-old girl remained in ICU with a traumatic brain injury until passing away on Monday. 

The driver has been arrested and is facing numerous charges, including three counts of leaving the scene of an accident involving death.
