Teen hospitalized after being hit by car near NW Port St. Lucie school
ST. LUCIE COUNTY, FL — First responders rushed a 15-year-old to the hospital Wednesday morning following a pedestrian crash near St. Lucie West K-8 in northwest Port St. Lucie, according to WPTV.
The incident was reported at the intersection of Crosstown Parkway and Southwest Cameo Boulevard shortly after 7:00 a.m.
Port St. Lucie Police Department officials said a driver was turning right onto Crosstown Parkway when their vehicle struck the teen.
The teen, who suffered minor injuries, was transported to an area hospital for minor injuries.
Officials have not confirmed whether the teen, described as a student, attends the nearby St. Lucie West K-8 or St. Lucie West Centennial High School down the road.
No charges have been reported as of this writing.
