Tanker fire shuts down I-95 in Delray Beach

DELRAY BEACH, FL – All lanes of I-95 in Delray Beach were shut down following a reported tanker fire this afternoon.

According to Total Traffic West Palm Beach, the fire broke out shortly before 2:30 p.m. in the northbound lanes of the freeway, between Linton Boulevard and Atlantic Avenue.

It is unclear at this time what may have sparked the fire. However, traffic delays were reported in the area going back to Spanish River Boulevard for some time afterward.

We do not know if anyone was injured as a result of the blaze. Should any additional information come to light, this blog will be updated.
