School police officer seriously injured in crash in Hialeah

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FL – According to NBC6 South Florida, a Miami-Dade County Public Schools Police officer was seriously injured in an accident while responding to an emergency call in Hialeah on Thursday.

The crash was reported near the intersection of Okeechobee Road and West 18th Avenue. Authorities say the officer’s police vehicle and a white sedan were involved in the accident.

The officer sustained serious injuries in the collision and was airlifted to a local hospital for treatment. The driver of the other car received treatment from first responders at the scene.
