Police chase leads to fiery collision in Miami Gardens

MIAMI GARDENS, FL – A driver fled from police and crashed his vehicle, which then resulted in it catching fire Wednesday.

WSVN said this collision occurred in the area of Northwest 37th Avenue and Northwest 213th Street. Police said they pulled the driver over for reckless driving. He declined to stop, which then resulted in the pursuit. When the motorist’s car caught on fire, he fled the scene on foot.

The initial news source said they caught footage of a man running with a gun, but it is unclear if this was the driver who fled the scene or another person involved.

The burned vehicle was towed; car parts, ash, and foam were also seen not too far from the crash site.

Officials have not located the suspect. Anyone who can provide more information on this collision or suspect is advised to contact authorities listed at the number in the source.
