Police chase leads to crash in Palm Beach Gardens

PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL – A teenage boy operating a 2018 Mercedes Benz fled from police and then drifted off the road and fell onto another vehicle Thursday night.

Police told WPTV that the events of the collision unfolded when officers tried to pull over the teenager at PGA Boulevard and North Military Trail for a traffic violation. The minor refused to stop and kept driving, which began the pursuit.

The juvenile eventually came onto Alternate A1A, where officials used stop sticks to end his trek. The attempt worked. However, the boy then lost control of his car and struck a vehicle on westbound PGA Boulevard.

Police arrested the teenager and said he was unharmed.
