Pin-in collision in Miami sends Miami-Dade officer to hospital
MIAMI, FL – A Miami-Dade officer was pinned inside his vehicle, extricated, and then rushed to HCA Florida Kendall Hospital after a crash with another vehicle Friday.
The events unfolded after 4 p.m. when the driver of a black pickup truck T-boned the officer’s unmarked black vehicle at Miller Drive and Southwest 147th Avenue, WSVN said. The officer appears to be in stable condition.
Officials did not disclose the pickup truck driver’s current condition but said they declined to be taken to a hospital.
Miami-Dade Police shut down the area and urged commuters to seek alternative routes, as well as the scene clearance and investigation process.
