Pedestrians struck, 1 killed, 1 injured by driver in West Palm Beach
WEST PALM BEACH, FL – According to WPTV News, a pedestrian was killed and another was injured after being struck by a driver in West Palm Beach on Monday.
The crash was reported shortly after 6:00 a.m. in the 2700 block of Village Boulevard. Authorities say the pedestrians walking along Village Boulevard when they stepped into the street to avoid some yard sprinklers. The pedestrians stepped into the path of a driver of a southbound Kia Sportage and were struck.
60-year-old pedestrian, Carmen Lous, was killed in the collision and pronounced dead at the scene. The other pedestrian, 65-year-old Michael Bullen, sustained serious injuries and was transported to St. Mary’s Medical Center for treatment.
