Pedestrian struck, killed by hit-and-run driver in Palm Beach County

PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL – According to WPTV News, a pedestrian was killed after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in Palm Beach County on Tuesday morning.

The accident was reported shortly before 8:30 a.m. on State Road 25 near mile-marker 68. Authorities say an unidentified vehicle was heading south on SR-25 when the driver crashed into a male pedestrian who was located on the paved shoulder of the roadway.

The pedestrian was struck and thrown further south on the paved shoulder and then was hit a second time by the vehicle as the driver sped away from the scene, continuing south.

The pedestrian was killed in the accident and pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are still looking for the driver involved in the crash. No other details have been released at this time.
