Pedestrian killed in South Bay accident
SOUTH BAY, FL – A man was killed in South Bay on Monday after he was struck by a car, the Palm Beach Post reports.
The victim was attempting to cross the street on Palm Beach Road near Southwest Second Avenue when he was struck by a sedan around 4 a.m.
The crash knocked the 41-year-old man over and several other vehicles hit him. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
After the accident the driver of the sedan fled the scene but is now cooperating with the police investigation. The victim had been wearing dark clothes and was crossing in a poorly lit section of road.
At this time it is unclear whether the driver will face charges.
