Pedestrian killed after getting hit by car in Miami Gardens

MIAMI GARDENS, FL – One life was claimed in a collision involving a pedestrian and car on the 2700 block of NW 199th St. Monday. 

The crash was first reported after 5:30 a.m., NBC Miami revealed. The pedestrian was crossing westbound NW 199th St. when the person was struck by a driver going south on NW 27th Ave. 

The driver remained at the crash site and cooperated with authorities. 

The pedestrian sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The southbound lanes of NW 27th Ave. between 195th and 199th Ave. did close for investigation and clearance.
