Pedestrian in critical condition after Miami hit-and-run

MIAMI, FL – A 39-year-old man is fighting for his life after being hit by a vehicle in Miami last week, Local 10 News reports. 

The victim was walking his dogs when he was struck near the intersection of Northwest 95th Street and 20th Avenue around 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday night.

He was rushed to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center where he has remained since, undergoing multiple surgeries for broken bones and internal bleeding.

One of the dogs was killed in the crash. Police are currently searching for the driver, who fled the scene.
