Pedestrian dies following hit-and-run crash near Palm Beach International Airport
WEST PALM BEACH, FL – One person lost their life due to a hit-and-run pedestrian collision early last Saturday, December 28, on Military Trail in West Palm Beach, reports The Boca Raton Tribune.
The fatal incident occurred a little south of Tulane Drive, near Palm Beach International Airport, at around 4:53 a.m.
Investigators say the victim was on foot and crossing the northbound side of Military Trail when they were struck by a vehicle heading northbound.
The pedestrian, who was pushed to the ground by the impact of the crash, came to rest face down on Military Trail.
First responders pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.
At this time, authorities continue to investigate and search for the driver, who fled the scene following the event.
