One killed when car plunges into West Palm Beach canal
WEST PALM BEACH, FL – A 41-year-old driver was killed in West Palm Beach on Monday morning after their car went into a canal, WPBF reports.
The accident happened at 6 a.m. on South Congress Avenue, near Palm Beach International Airport. A driver crossed South Congress Avenue and hit a curb on an entrance ramp before barreling down the embankment.
Their vehicle ended up fully submerged about 30 feet into the canal. The driver was rescued and taken to the hospital but they later succumbed to their injuries.
No information is currently available on what caused the crash.
