One in critical condition after Fort Pierce hit-and-run crash

FORT PIERCE, FL – A hit-and-run collision critically injured a person Saturday night. 

According to the Fort Pierce Police Department, the collision occurred before 9:45 p.m. in the area of U.S. 1 and Edwards Road. The driver struck the victim and fled the scene. 

The person was taken to HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital. Police described the suspect vehicle as a 1999 to 2004 dark-colored Jeep Grand Cherokee with no passenger-side rearview mirror.
