One dead, two injured in crash involving school bus, pedestrian in Miami
MIAMI, FL – One person is dead and two are injured after a crash involving a school bus, multiple vehicles and a pedestrian that happened Nov. 9.
According to Local10, the driver of a Dodge pickup truck exited Palmetto Expressway at 103rd St and struck a pedestrian, killing them. After hitting the pedestrian, the driver of the Dodge crashed into an Audi.
This caused a chain reaction crash at Northwest 103rd Street and Northwest 77th Avenue. A Hialeah Gardens Middle School bus with students inside was involved. None of the students were injured.
The driver of the Dodge, 38-year-old Lavarius C. Bethel, was arrested. Police are waiting on the results of a blood test to determine if Bethel was impaired.
