Officer hurt, woman passes away in Fort Lauderdale left-turn crash 

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – A woman passed away, and a police officer suffered non-life-threatening wounds after she hit the patrol car while turning left Saturday. 

CBS Miami said this crash happened around 1 a.m. in the 1100 block of Northwest 9th Avenue. First responders took the woman and man to Broward Medical Center. There, she died, and the man received the necessary treatment. He has since been released. 

Fort Lauderdale Police started an investigation and have not released other information at this time, including the woman’s name.
