New York woman’s life claimed in ATV collision in Miami 

MIAMI, FL – Two women from New York were riding an ATV when one of them lost control, causing them to crash into a canal, leading one of them to their death Thursday. 

This collision happened in the vicinity of Southwest 112th Street and 157th Avenue, according to WSVN. Both women fell into the water. 

One woman was able to escape, but the other was not found for some time. 

Good Samaritans, Dennis Padilla and his son (whose name was not mentioned) and tried to help Miami-Dade Fire Rescue and the Miami Police diving team to locate the second woman. 

Eventually, the second woman was found and rescued and taken to HCA Florida Kendall Hospital, where she passed away. 

Authorities have not released the women’s names.
