Multi-vehicle wreck closes part of northbound I-75 in Broward County

BROWARD COUNTY, FL – Authorities responded to a multi-vehicle crash Saturday afternoon on Interstate 75 near southwest Sunrise, according to FL511 Southeast.

The accident unfolded on the northbound lanes past the I-595/State Route 869 interchange, west of Fort Lauderdale. It was first reported shortly before 3:31 p.m.

Little information has been made available, but four right lanes were initially reported blocked. By 4:12 p.m., nearly 45 minutes later, all northbound lanes were closed.


It was not immediately apparent whether anyone was seriously hurt in the incident.
