Motorcyclist killed in crash in Palm Beach County

PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL – WPTV News reports that a motorcyclist was killed in a crash in Palm Beach County on Saturday.

The crash was reported shortly after 2:00 a.m. in the 5400 block of Okeechobee Boulevard, just west of West Palm Beach. Authorities say 47-year-old motorcyclist, John Hosfeld, was riding a 2016 Suzuki motorcycle west on Okeechobee Boulevard at high speeds while a driver of a 2022 Honda Civic was just ahead on the road. Another driver was just ahead of the Civic, traveling in a 2011 Honda Accord.

Hosfeld reportedly struck the side of the Honda Civic while attempting to change lanes and was thrown from his motorcycle.

The motorcyclist was killed in the accident and pronounced dead at the scene. The other drivers involved were not injured.
