Motorcyclist killed by DUI suspect in Boca Raton
BOCA RATON, FL – A 51-year-old woman was killed in Boca Raton after being rear-ended by a driver police suspect of impairment, local news reports.
The accident occurred at the intersection of Southwest 18th Street and Boca Rio Road around 2 a.m. on Friday morning.
The victim was riding west on a Kawasaki Vulcan when she was struck from behind by a 39-year-old man driving a Tesla.
The motorcyclist was rushed to the hospital, where she was later pronounced dead. The Tesla driver showed signs of impariment and is being investigated.
