Motorcyclist fatally hit by driver who ran red light in Miami
DOWNTOWN MIAMI, FL – A motorcyclist died from his injuries after a driver, who was said to have run a red light, struck him at an intersection Friday.
Miami Police told NBC Miami that the crash happened before 2 a.m. at the Southwest 2nd Avenue and Southwest 7th Street junction, near the SW 2nd Ave. Bridge. As a result of this crash, a wheel came off on the car, and the vehicle sustained some damage.
Police said the motorcyclist passed away from the scene. They have not released his name at this time, said if the other driver was harmed, or mentioned any pending citations or charges.
