Miami police officer hospitalized after multi-vehicle crash

MIAMI, FL – A Miami police officer was hospitalized after she was involved in an accident on Sunday evening, WSVN reports. 

The accident occurred around 7:45 p.m. in the intersection of Southwest 5th Street and 12th Avenue.

Although details of the crash are not currently available, it has been reported that it was a two-vehicle accident involved the police car and a red minivan.

The officer was taken to Mount Sinai Medical Center for treatment of injuries to her hands and neck. Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

No other injuries have been reported.
