Miami-Dade officer sent to hospital after East Little Havana crash 

MIAMI, FL – A Miami-Dade Police officer was transported to a hospital after their patrol car collided with another vehicle, sustaining significant front-end damage Tuesday. 

This collision happened at the Southwest 12th Avenue & Southwest 7th Street junction in the East Little Havana neighborhood. A WSVN report and footage indicated scattered debris on the road, and the Miami-Dade Police Department told the source that first responders sent the officer to Jackson Memorial Hospital as a precaution. The other driver appears to have been unharmed. 

The severity of the officer’s wounds was not made immediately apparent at the time of reporting.
