Man hurt when truck overturns amid heavy rain near Delray Beach
NEAR DELRAY BEACH, FL – Amid heavy rain, a driver’s glass delivery truck overturned on Florida’s Turnpike, injuring the motorist in the process Wednesday.
The man’s truck overturned once those high winds kicked in, making it hard for the man to keep the truck in control, which resulted in the wreck, WPTV said.
Three good Samaritans, three drivers, including a former Broward County police officer and current pastor, were able to help free the man from the overturned truck. The pastor was said to have used a pole to break through the windshield to get the driver out.
After arriving, first responders were able to treat the wounded man on site. They did not confirm if he needed to go to a hospital.
