Man hospitalized following hit-and-run on Collins Ave.

MIAMI BEACH, FL – A man was rushed to the hospital following a hit-and-run in Miami Beach on Thursday afternoon.

According to WSVN, the victim was walking in the area of 56th Street and Collins Avenue shortly after 3:45 p.m. when he was hit by an oncoming vehicle.

The victim was taken to an area hospital in critical condition. His identity is being withheld pending further investigation.

Witnesses say the vehicle involved, a black Nissan Altima, was seen fleeing northbound on Collins Ave. It is unclear at this time if any arrests were made.
