Man fatally struck by hit-and-run driver in Miami 

MIAMI, FL – A man crossing northbound U.S. 1 and Southwest 214th Street was sent to a hospital, where he later died after getting struck by a hit-and-run driver Sunday. 

Florida Highway Patrol told NBC Miami that they identified the hit-and-run suspect as 26-year-old Jorge G. Arevalo Sorto and confirmed he was driving a gray Genesis. 

Soto will be charged with leaving the scene of a crash that resulted in a fatality. 

FHP has not yet released the victim’s identity.
