Man critically injured after Deerfield Beach crash with tree

DEERFIELD BEACH, FL – A man was hospitalized for critical injuries after a pin-in crash along SW 10th Street Thursday.

According to CBS 12 News, the driver of a white pickup truck lost control before crashing into a tree.

The victim was pinned and extricated through the use of mechanical extraction. So essentially, crews used hydraulic tools to remove some parts of the car around the person. This allowed first responders to tend to the victim’s injuries while removing the man from the vehicle.

The pickup truck driver, a man in his 50s, was taken to Broward Health North in stable and critical condition.
