Man airlifted to hospital after Stuart crash with train
STUART, FL – A man was airlifted to a hospital after he tried to cross the railroad tracks along Southeast Dixie Highway and was struck by a Brightline train Thursday.
This collision happened before 7 p.m. down the road from Yacht & Country Club, WPTV said. Authorities confirmed a Lifestar helicopter took the man to a medical facility but did not provide an update on his current condition.
Similar to Thursday’s collision, on Monday, a man was also hit by a Brightline train. This took place along Witham Field, and first responders rushed him to a hospital, where he later died.
