Man, 30, loses life after rear-ending parked semi in Coconut Creek
COCONUT CREEK, FL – A 30-year-old man suffered fatal injuries after he rear-ended a parked 2020 red Freightliner truck with his car on Florida’s Turnpike South Tuesday.
The wreck was reported before 2 a.m., according to Local 10. It is not immediately apparent as to why the 30-year-old lost control of his 2016 black Toyota RAV4 SUV when he drifted off his lane. Nonetheless, the impact caused the SUV to rotate before finally coming to a stop.
Coconut Creek Fire Rescue rushed the 30-year-old man from North Miami Beach to Broward Health North, where he passed away before 2:30 a.m.
Florida Highway Patrol said the victim was accompanied by a 55-year-old man from Buffalo, New York, but did not confirm if he was injured.
