Male cyclist, 60, sent to hospital after Miami crash
MIAMI, FL – A 60-year-old man riding a bicycle was sent to a nearby hospital for treatment of critical, life-threatening injuries in the Coral Way area Tuesday.
This collision happened after 5:30 a.m. in the vicinity of Southwest 27th Avenue and 22nd Street, Local10 said. Upon arrival, first responders rushed the cyclist to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center, and crews closed the westbound lanes, starting at 22nd Street and ending at 27th Avenue.
Miami police confirmed the driver remained at the collusion site and did not specify if they would face charges.
Miami Fire Rescue also responded to the scene.
An investigation by Miami police is underway and no other details have been released at this time.
