Lane attempt causes crash that kills motorcyclist in Boca Raton

BOCA RATON, FL – A 26-year-old man operating a 2015 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R motorcycle tried to switch lanes and collided with a van driver, leading to his death.

This fatal crash took place around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday on southbound Yamato Road, according to WPTV. The other motorist, a 39-year-old woman from New York, who was driving a 2022 Chrysler Pacifica van, was supposedly traveling at a high rate when she was behind the motorcyclist.

The van driver was unharmed, and the motorcyclist, who was only identified as a Boca Raton man, died at the scene.

All the southbound lanes, which were closed, have reopened since.
