Hollywood accident leaves one dead, two injured
HOLLYWOOD, FL – A crash on I-95 left one person dead and two injured in Hollywood Friday night, NBC Miami reports.
The accident happened in the northbound lanes of I-95 near Hollywood Boulevard around 10 p.m. It was caused by a bike that fell off the back of a pickup truck and landed in the express lane.
A sedan swerved in an attempt to avoid the bike and was struck by a taxi with two passengers. Another vehicle then struck the taxi.
A 42-year-old woman riding in the taxi was killed. Another passenger, a 38-year-old man, sustained incapacitating injuries and was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital.
The driver of one of the other vehicles also suffered minor injuries.
