Girl, 6, hospitalized after getting hit by car in Fort Pierce North 

FORT PIERCE NORTH, FL – A 6-year-old girl was airlifted to a hospital after she was struck by a vehicle at the Essex Drive and Juanita Avenue junction Wednesday. 

WPTV said the crash happened around 7:30 a.m. The driver remained at the scene and was not said to be at fault, according to the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office. 

The girl, who sustained minor injuries, was last said to have been recovering at St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach. 

Officials have not disclosed other details at this time.
