Fiery solo collision in Weston claims one life
WESTON, FL – A driver of a Tesla tried to make a U-turn on the I-75 overpass but missed a curve, leading them to hit a support column and the car to catch fire, claiming his life Sunday.
This collision was reported after 3:30 a.m. in the vicinity of State Road 84 and Bonaventure Boulevard, according to WSVN. Fire crews extinguished the Tesla Model 3 fire, and the Broward County Sheriff’s Office declared the driver dead at the scene.
Authorities said the motorist suffered severe lacerations. They have not released the victim’s name at this time.
