Fiery accident in Wellington leaves 1 dead, 1 injured

WELLINGTON, FL – According to WPTV News, one person was killed in a fiery crash that took place in Wellington on Thursday.

The crash was reported shortly after 1:00 p.m. near the intersection of Greenview Shores Boulevard and Wellington Trace. Authorities say two vehicles were involved in the collision, a black BMW and a Jeep SUV. One of the vehicles was found on fire at the scene.

One person was inside the car that was on fire, and was pronounced dead at the scene. Another person involved in the accident sustained injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
