FHP trooper hurt in pursuit, crash with light pole in Riviera Beach

RIVIERA BEACH, FL – A Florida Highway Patrol trooper tried to pursue a fleeing driver and struck another vehicle and light pole, sustaining minor wounds Monday. 

The events unfolded on the southbound lanes of I-95 south of Blue Heron Boulevard when the trooper was going after a reckless driver and lost control of his vehicle, leading to the crash, CBS 12 reports. 

Paramedics who responded to the scene treated the trooper for his minor wounds and released him. No one involved in this pursuit/crash has been harmed

As it stands, the suspect has not been located and arrested.
