Driver misses curve, leading to deadly wreck in Fort Lauderdale

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – A car driver missed a curve, which led the driver to hit a concrete wall barrier and then a light pole before overturning, claiming a woman’s life Sunday.

This collision happened after 1 a.m. on the I-95 South exit ramp leading to State Road 842, CBS News said. The 2011 red Lexus Is-250 had struck the concrete barrier first. Then the car went over the wall, started to roll over, came onto the I-95 entrance ramp, overturned again, and struck the outside barrier wall.

Eventually, the car collided with a light pole before coming to rest. First responders took the three occupants — a woman and two men — to Broward Health Medical Center. There, the woman passed away, and the driver and other passengers were set to receive treatment for their wounds.
