Driver hits and sends scooter rider to hospital in Miami 

MIAMI, FL – A driver of a vehicle collided with a scooter rider in the Norland area, sending the scooter rider to a hospital Wednesday morning. 

WSVN said this collision happened at Miami Gardens Drive and Northeast 1st Court, footage indicating that paramedics put the scooter rider on a stretcher before taking him to a hospital for treatment of a broken leg. 

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene. Although, it is unclear if they will face charges at this time.  

Police started an investigation and have not released other information at this time.
