Driver dies following car vs tree crash in Greenacres

PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL — A single-vehicle accident early Sunday in Greenacres claimed the life of a 54-year-old man, according to CBS12.

The collision occurred on a stretch of Sea Pine Way at about 1:46 a.m.

An early investigation by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO) indicates the man was operating a Nissan Sentra on the road. At one point, for reasons still unclear, the car veered off the roadway and onto the east shoulder before slamming into a tree.

First responders rushed the male driver to Wellington Regional Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries at 3:30 a.m.

No other occupants or vehicles appear to have been involved in the accident.
