Driver arrested after fatal Coconut Creek motorcycle accident

COCONUT CREEK, FL – A driver was arrested after fatally striking a motorcyclist in Coconut Creek and attempting to flee, local news reports. 

The crash occurred in the 7300 block of State Road 7 North around 4:30 p.m. on August 27th.

The suspect was driving a Ford Crown Victoria when he struck the motorcyclist. He then got out of his vehicle, looked at the victim, and fled on foot.

Police identified the driver based on local surveillance footage. He had a DUI on his record and was driving on a suspended license.
