Deputy loses life five days after crash in Palm Beach Co. 

PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL – The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office confirmed a third deputy passed away on Monday, Nov. 25, after a crash on Thursday, Nov. 21, that also killed two other deputies. 

WPBF said this wreck happened on Southern Boulevard when the deputy who died Monday, identified as Ignacio “Dan” Diaz, was struck by an SUV while riding a motorcycle along with his fellow deputies, Cpl. Luis Paez, and Deputy Sheriff Ralph “Butch” Waller. 

Upon arrival, first responders rushed the three men to a hospital. There, Waller and 

Paez immediately succumbed to fatal wounds, while Diaz died this week. 

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office held a funeral procession for Diaz on Nov. 25, while a memorial service for all the late deputies will be held Tuesday, Dec. 3, at the South Florida Fairgrounds.
