Collision with truck leaves motorcyclist dead near Fort Lauderdale

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – A motorcyclist was killed on Monday morning after a collision with a box truck near Fort Lauderdale, CBS Miami reports. 

The victim was riding north on Northwest 31st Avenue near Northwest 11th Street on a 2001 Suzuki SV650 when a 2017 Hino 258 box truck made a left turn into his path.

Although he braked in an attempt to avoid a crash, he struck the truck. He was rushed to Broward Health Medical Center, where he later passed away.
